me vs the robot - A wrestling match

For every year that ChatGPT has been evolving, I have been improving my score by 5% on the arcade punch machine.

If you’re growing tired of AI generated content - don’t worry. Get behind me. Instead, come and see me in a wrestling match whereby I’ll be challenging a robot to a tables, ladders and chairs match. Or maybe I’ll just stare into its screen and tell it to stop coming for my job. Either way, we’re in safe hands.

Seriously though, I know ChatGPT can string sentences together and write a blog post in 5 seconds, but robot-written copy is both A. samey, and B. heavily penalised by Google in terms of SEO. Like… in a way... it’s almost made my sales pitch a little easier.

Don’t get me wrong, I know AI and I know it well, in a ‘keep your enemies close’ kind of way. I use it every day. It’s my synonym glossary, my research partner, my accountant and more. But although they can write, AI systems do need someone to hold their hand, to feed them original ideas and to turn the stuff it spits out into something presentable. Plus, there are some kinds of copy I’d never touch AI for.

The great part about all this is - if you’re a brand who wants to stand out, generate more conversions, better SEO rankings, and create content your audience truly connect with - all you have to do is hire a Copywriter.
